Dog Obedience

The basics of dog obedience
training will be demonstrated including:
heel, come, sit, stay, down, stand,
and retrieving. Please bring a 6-foot
leather leash to the first session but do
NOT bring your dog! The first session
will be held in the FES, Room 158
(Please enter through door # 15A). 7
sessions. Instructor: Gary Hamman.
Fee: $56. Trainers – 12 years and
older; Dogs – 4 months and older

Advanced Dog Obedience #4515A
This class will include the basic obedience
learned in beginning dog obedience
plus distance training, off leash
with all obedience commands, whistle
sit, and whistle come. Instructor will
personally authorize all registrations.
Note: Please state breed and age of
dog when registering. Please contact
the instructor (235-9030) or the CER
office (235-3141) with any questions.
Please bring to class: 1-foot leash, 6-
foot leash, 20-foot leash, and dog
training whistle. 7 sessions. Instructor:

Do it yourself and learn the basics of upholstery or chair caning
with Alice Barnes

Upholstery - Do it yourself and learn the basics of upholstery: types of fabrics,
measuring, cutting, frame repair, spring tying, re-padding, and total recovering of
your project. Bring your project to the 1 st session. Please wear suitable clothes for
working. Project should be a small occasional chair. This class is for new and former
students. Fabrics and supplies will be available at class.
Caned Chair Restoration - Do you have a chair with broken caning in the back
or seat? You can learn to replace it with either natural Pre-Woven cane or Natural
Ratan strand by strand weaving of the cane depending on how the item is constructed
and the original cane was installed. Bring your item to be caned to the first class
so we can determine the size and type of cane needed. All supplies will be ordered
then. You will need to pay for supplies used at the end of the class.
The class will meet for 6 Sessions. Fee: $78. The average caned seat can take 21+
hours to complete. Please specify type of project when registering. Space is limited
to 6 participants.
