To Headline Lilifest!<br />
Big Vern ‘n’ the Shootahs have been announced as the headline act for<br />
this year’s Lilifest – a programme of events and activities that will once<br />
again form part of this years’ Kilbarchan’s Lilias Day Celebrations.<br />
Described as one of the UK’s biggest and hottest live bands the sensational<br />
Big Vern ‘n’ the Shootahs will perform a unique and intimate live show at<br />
the wonderful Kilbarchan Performing Arts Centre on Thursday 31st May.<br />
With their Classic funk, soul and party music mixed with some great<br />
stage routines Big Vern ‘n’ the Shootahs are a renowned 9 piece musical<br />
powerhouse who have been entertaining audiences at venues and<br />
festivals all over the UK for more than 2 decades.<br />
Band-member Malcolm Button says the band are relishing their first visit<br />
to Kilbarchan to perform as part of Lilifest: “We love playing live and we<br />
are delighted to get the chance to spread our bands wings coming to the<br />
Kilbarchan Performing Arts Centre for the first time. We have some close<br />
links with the village through a couple of the band members and when the<br />
chance came up, we couldn’t resist doing something for the community<br />
and helping raise funds for the Lilias Day Committee. It’s time for a great<br />
night out, everyone enjoys great live music and we’re just the band to put<br />
a smile on your face”<br />
Damon Scott, Lilifest Organiser adds: “We are delighted that we have a<br />
such a well-know and highly regarded band as Big Vern ‘n’ the Shootahs<br />
headlining the festival. Their reputation really does proceed them –<br />
they are a band that audiences never forget. Catch them while you can,<br />
this is a rare chance to see them play in smaller venue. You will not be<br />
