Kilbarchan Parish Church<br />

On Easter Sunday, 1st <strong>April</strong>, there is a short service at the Weaver’s Cottage<br />

at 8.30am, followed by bacon/sausage rolls in the church hall. The main<br />

service is at 11am as usual and both will be conducted by Rev. Stephen<br />

Smith.<br />

The services continue at 11am on the following Sundays. The Sunday<br />

School and crèche meet in the halls from 10.45am. All services are followed<br />

by refreshments in the hall.<br />

On Wednesday from 10.30am, the Midweek Fellowship takes place in the<br />

small hall. All welcome to any or all of these services.<br />

Jane Owens, the organiser of this annual event told The <strong>Advertizer</strong>, “Due to<br />

unforeseen circumstances I will be unable to be here for this year’s event.<br />

I am looking for a person or group to oversee the fi nal week of preparations<br />

and also the event itself on Saturday 9th June.”<br />

“I will be able to complete all the organisation up to the end of May and the<br />

normal team of helpers will be there on the day. If someone, or any groups<br />

are interested, can they contact me ASAP please. I need a quick response<br />

because otherwise this year’s event will be cancelled. Many thanks.”<br />

Morning worship with Sunday School and Crèche. 6.30pm Evening Fellowship<br />

The Old Library Centre<br />

We have a concert by Auld Hats New Heids on Saturday 7th <strong>April</strong>. They<br />

played a very entertaining gig last year to a sell out audience. Tickets are<br />

£12 each, phone, email or come into the centre to book your tickets.<br />

We have the ever popular psychic Sally Buxton booked for Thursday 26th<br />

<strong>April</strong> at 8pm. Tickets are now sold out for this, however we have a waiting<br />

list in case anyone cannot come.<br />

Finally, we have another concert by Jimmy Livingston booked for Friday 11th<br />

May, tickets £12 each. Jimmy last played here in October 2014 and was<br />

very warmly received.<br />

There is an Intermediate Yoga class on at the Old Library Centre on Monday<br />

nights from 7.30pm – 9pm. It is for those with a regular practice who wish to<br />

challenge themselves. Arm balances, headstands, handstands, lots of fun<br />
