Guidelines for the event owner<br />
All activities that are organised in <strong>CAMC</strong> (Creative Arts & Media Centre), <strong>SISB</strong>, require the establishment of certain guidelines related to the<br />
coordination of services, liability and safety. These guidelines apply to all decoration and props, production and audio-visual working crew<br />
in <strong>CAMC</strong>. Please read the entire document.<br />

GENERAL INFORMATION<br />
1. A production meeting with the <strong>CAMC</strong> Manager and AV crews is required for your event no later than one week prior to the event.<br />
2. The event owner as listed on the contract will have full control of the event unless someone else is designated. All changes in time,<br />
setups, and others will only be executed upon the event owner’s request.<br />
3. All changes made after the production meeting will only be executed with the agreement of the <strong>CAMC</strong> Manager.<br />
4. The event owner is solely responsible for obtaining all licences with regards to the use of copyrighted music, dramatic or other works in<br />
facilities and the user shall immediately pay when due any and all royalties, permits, assessments and taxes that may be imposed, fees<br />
and costs arising from the use of such works and from the use of any patented, trademarked, or franchised articles, devices or processes<br />
in or on the facilities.<br />
5. The event owner agrees that there will be no discrimination in the use of <strong>CAMC</strong> building regarding race, religion, sex, or nationality.<br />
OPERATING SPECIFICATIONS<br />

1. All audio-visual systems in <strong>CAMC</strong> must be operated by <strong>CAMC</strong> AV technicians. The request for all AV support will be discussed during the<br />
prior meeting before the event and approved by <strong>CAMC</strong> manager.<br />
2. Only <strong>CAMC</strong> crew members and authorised personnel from the event owner are allowed at the control booth of sound and light systems.<br />
3. <strong>CAMC</strong> has no storage facilities for external equipment. This is the responsibility of the event owner to remove all props and settings<br />
before, during and at the end of the event.<br />
4. Sound levels are to be appropriate for the contracted space and are not to interfere with activities taking place in any other space. Actual<br />
meetings in progress take precedence over any soundcheck or rehearsal. <strong>CAMC</strong> AV technician has the right to control all sound usage<br />
and volumes as he deems appropriate.<br />
5. Pyrotechnics, smoke and laser, either indoor or outdoor, are not permitted.<br />
6. No tape/adhesives are to be used on the stage, floor, seats, curtains, or painted surfaces inside or outside the building without the<br />
approval of <strong>CAMC</strong> Manager.<br />
7. When using water, chemical or dry ice fog/haze machines, the event owner is required to obtain approval from <strong>CAMC</strong> manager. This<br />
must be done to ensure that the fire alarm and sprinkler system are not accidentally set off. The event owner is responsible for all costs<br />
of false alarms arising from the unscheduled discharge of pyrotechnics or smoke.
