Transfer Policy
Students may request to delay their start date or transfer shifts without penalty during their Conditional
Acceptance period by contacting the Admissions Department to discuss updating their initial program
enrollment.
Students may request to transfer shifts after the Conditional Acceptance period by contacting the Registrar and
submitting a Shift Transfer Request form. Requesting a Shift Transfer does not guarantee it will be granted by
NCC. NCC considers the student’s attendance, academic, and conduct history as well as class capacity for the
requested shift prior to approval. NCC also verifies that the student can complete the program within the 150%
maximum time frame prior to approving any Shift Transfer Requests. Shift Transfer Requests must be approved
in advance in writing by the Registrar to be considered in effect.
Students currently or previously enrolled in Associate Degree-level programs at NCC may request to transfer
between Associate Degree-level programs at any time after completion of their first academic term. Program
Transfer requests are evaluated by the Registrar and are not guaranteed approval. NCC evaluates criteria related
to the student’s academic progress to assess whether a student is eligible to transfer between programs.
