the applicant’s history is fully disclosed and they are accepted into the program. If a prospective student<br />

is denied admission due to a criminal history finding that was not disclosed prior to enrollment, the<br />

prospective student will be responsible for the cost of the background check and will be invoiced for the<br />

amount specified in the enrollment contract. (Required for Pharmacy Technician program only).<br />

5. Documentation of a negative drug screening must be submitted at least 60 days before the beginning of<br />

the Pharmacy Technician externship. The cost of the drug screening is included in the cost of the<br />

program. While it is not required for admission, it is required to obtain a Trainee License and start<br />

externship. Pharmacy Technician students are subject to random drug screenings while on campus and<br />

on externship. A positive drug screening will result in immediate suspension from school until NCC<br />

discusses the circumstances with the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy and may result in dismissal from<br />

the program. (Required for Pharmacy Technician program only).<br />

Distance Education Admissions Requirements<br />

Specific requirements for programs which have distance education components include:<br />

1. Successful completion of a personal interview with a school representative to determine if the<br />

prospective student can benefit from distance education.<br />

2. Student attestation that they have the following:<br />

i. Laptop computer and internet access that can be utilized to complete course lectures, discussions,<br />

assignments, and assessments.<br />

a. Minimum hardware and software specifications will be provided to prospective students<br />

prior to enrollment.<br />

ii. Ability to use email as the primary method of institutional correspondence.<br />

iii. Ability to browse the Internet, utilize online accounts, and configure basic browser settings to<br />

permit use of course materials.<br />

Applicants not accepted by NCC shall be entitled to a refund of all monies paid.<br />

Conditional Acceptance Policy<br />

All new students are considered conditionally accepted to NCC after they attend their first day of class. All<br />

NCC policies apply to conditionally accepted students and they enjoy all the rights and resources of an<br />

officially accepted student. The conditional acceptance period begins on the first day of the term and continues<br />

through the close of business on the 14 th calendar day of the term.<br />

Students must notify the Registrar in writing if they intend to withdraw before the end of the conditional<br />

acceptance period. Students who withdraw during the conditional acceptance period will not have student loan<br />

repayment responsibilities because NCC does not request Title IV federal financial aid disbursement for<br />

students in a conditionally accepted status. Students who withdraw during the conditional acceptance period are<br />

still financially responsible for payment of any non-refundable fees disclosed during the admissions process.<br />

Students who have met all admissions requirements, secured documentable funding for their program, and been<br />

formally accepted by their Program Director are eligible to matriculate at NCC. NCC will withdraw any student<br />

who has not met all admissions requirements, secured documentable funding for their program, and/or been<br />

formally accepted by their Program Director before the end of the conditional acceptance period. Such a student<br />
