NEW BIM OUTSOURCING COMPANY CREATED
Liverpool-based mechanical
and electrical specialists
Steven Hunt & Associates have
announced the formation of a
brand-new sister business,
Digital Engineering Studio, that
aims to empower the construction
industry with the latest BIM
technology.
Digital Engineering Studio is a
professional BIM outsource
provider that specialises in the
creation of fully coordinated
Revit MEP models and virtual
drawings to streamline the construction
process, reduce
waste and eliminate unnecessary
delays.
BIM modelling forms the central
focus for the new outsourcing
partner. The in-house team
of specialists will work behind
the scenes with clients to transform
drawings and earlydesigns
into fully functional 3D
models, which can then be
populated with data requirements
that will be easy to navigate
and update.

LATEST ALLPLAN UPDATE RELEASED
ALLPLAN has released
Allplan 2018-1, the latest
version of its BIM solution for
architects and structural and
civil engineers. The update
focuses on enhancements with
regards to user experience
and improving the efficiency
for the users' daily work. The
new version enhances the
users' productivity and overall
design quality.

Last October, ALLPLAN introduced
its new BIM solution,
Allplan 2018. Among the highlights
were numerous improvements
supporting BIM processes
such as the optimised IFC4
data export. With the Allplan
2018-1 update there are now
enhanced IFC4 import capabilities,
further enhancing the BIM
workflow.
With Allplan 2018 the new
Actionbar was introduced,
enabling users to quickly find
the tools needed for their task.
Based on client feedback, further
enhancements have been
implemented, making the
Actionbar even more efficient,
allowing quicker access to commands
many of which are now
