The juvenile resident related that an unknown online gamer told him about a Twitter offer that had a discount of $25 of Domino’s pizza for $5. The juvenile went to Twitter and sent the $5 payment by PayPal and the pizza was ordered. The juvenile’s mother made restitution. Survey: Residents support Cook County minimum wage, sick leave ordinances Eric DeGrechie, Editor The results of a recent phone survey, conducted by the Village of Wilmette, are in and residents support Cook County’s recent minimum wage and paid sick leave ordinances versus the stance taken by the Village on the topic. Starting April 11, and continuing through April 14, the Village began contacting residents, through Fallon Research, via landline and cell phone numbers to conduct the survey. In all, 303 adults aged 18 or older participated. The largest age group to take the survey was 45- WILMETTE April 20 • A resident of the 1600 block of Wilmette Avenue reported on April 19 that she recently ordered a Bulova watch from Macy’s on-line but never received it. She discovered the watch was delivered by UPS and believes somoeone stole the package from her front porch. Macy’s replaced the watch. April 19 • Marcin Selwocki, 48, of River Grove, was arrested and charged with DUI at 1:11 p.m. April 18 at Ashland and 10th St. He was stopped for a minor traffic violation. The subsequent investigation revealed his driver’s license was suspended and he was under the influence of alcohol. He had a BAC of .084. 64 with 36.4 percent saying they were in that age range, followed by 65 and older (31.9), 18-44 (30.7) and unsure/no answer (1). 52.8 percent were females and 47.2 male. Police were conducting a traffic stop for minor traffic violations. Ude showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for DUI. He jad a a BAC of .219. April 16 • A resident in the 800 block of 15th St. made a delayed report at 3 a.m. April 9 that his Ford, Explorer which was parked on the street unlocked, had been entered by an unknown subject(s).
