‘AeroInfo’ is the only Indian portal<br />
giving access to aerospace<br />
information available through<br />
Internet. The sources are indexed<br />
<strong>and</strong> organised under different<br />
headings including general<br />
categories like aerospace<br />
associations/organizations, agencies,<br />
etc.; NASA subject categories like<br />
astronautics, avionics, airfoils,<br />
composites, materials, space<br />
sciences, wind tunnels; <strong>and</strong><br />
interdependent subjects like physics,<br />
chemistry, mathematics, computer<br />
science, electronics. Under the<br />
heading 'aviation', the sources are<br />
indexed using all popular terms like<br />
aircraft, airlines, airports, ATC, GPS,<br />
etc. Links have been given exhaustively<br />
to Indian aerospace sources (�ig. 3)<br />
including aircraft, airlines, airports,<br />
air shows, AR&DB, civil aviation,<br />
DGCA, gliding, space agencies,<br />
missiles, satellites, space flights,<br />
weather, personalities, associations,<br />
societies, education, libraries, news,<br />

18.5D ICAST WEBSITE<br />
The ICAST website, apart from giving<br />
detailed information about library<br />
sources including books, journals, Ejournals,<br />
databases <strong>and</strong> technical<br />
<strong>reports</strong> makes search tools available<br />
for its users. Other details like working<br />
hours, library rules, links to different<br />
services, etc. are provided. A detailed<br />
site map has been provided for<br />
facilitating search. To facilitate book<br />
selection the site provides links to a<br />
number of online bookshops (�ig. 4)<br />
