In the run up to Christmas the beautiful cities of Bruges and Lille come alive with festivities.
Historic buildings are illuminated with twinkling lights and garlands, street entertainers
delight the crowds, delicious aromas linger in the frosty air and quaint wooden chalets are
teeming with gift ideas. This is a joyful tradition that has taken place for centuries, adding
light and laughter to the long winter nights, together with local elements which give each
market its own distinctive character. So forget the high street humdrum this year and treat
yourself to a change of scenery as we enjoy a medley of markets in Belgium and France.

Day 1: London – Lille – Bruges
We travel aboard Eurostar from London to Lille.
We are taken by coach to our hotel in the heart
of Bruges, where we enjoy a relaxing evening.
Day 2: Bruges
This morning you can join our tour manager for
a walking tour of Bruges. No visit to Bruges is
complete without visiting a local chocolatier, and
that’s exactly what we do this morning. After
which you have the day at leisure.
Day 3: Bruges
We spend a second day exploring the many
sights of Bruges. With its beautiful medieval
Lille
centre and sparkling canals, the city of Bruges is
a magical location for a Christmas market and
offers an excellent choice of festive gifts and
activities. The streets are largely traffic free, so
it’s a delight to explore on foot.
Day 4: Lille – London
We check out of our hotel this morning and take
the coach to Lille, where we enjoy free time at
the spectacular Christmas market which takes
over the town centre is one of the largest in
northern France, with over 80 wooden chalets
teeming with gift ideas, decorations from around
the world and local specialities. Later we join
Eurostar for the return to London.
