Welcoming families and children, young and
old, there is something for everyone at the
Petwood.
Glorious gardens and plenty of outdoor seating
make the perfect spot to enjoy an afternoon tea or
summer’s evening supper on the terrace. After a
swim at Jubilee Park or a film at the Kinema, the
Petwood is a great way to finish a family day out
in Woodhall Spa, with the Petwood’s woodland
walks perfect for capturing the imagination of mini
explorers.
Commemorating RAF100, the Petwood has
sponsored one of the 100 Voices cycle trails. Keep
an eye out for the way markers in the shape of
aeroplane wings. You could perhaps try part of the
Petwood’s cycle trail from Lincoln to Woodhall Spa
along the old railway line – now a safe cycle route,
or the stretch from Woodhall Spa to Coningsby and
RAF Metheringham. Look out for activities across the
county to commemorate, celebrate and inspire in this
RAF centenary year.
As usual, there will be a host of outdoor events at
the Petwood this summer, starting with an outdoor
screening of The Dam Busters on Saturday 26th May.
Tickets for this are available via the Kinema in the
Woods website. The Woodhall Spa 1940s Festival
takes place this year on 7th-8th July with lots of

activities and events to see across the village.
The hotel will also be hosting a classic car
show with jazz on 12th August and an outdoor
theatre production of A Midsummer Night’s
Dream on Sunday 26th August. There will be a
special children’s theatre production of Pirate
Pearl and the Big Blue Monster on Wednesday
22nd August presented by Little Blue Monster
Productions.
