BoatShop<br />

The BoatShop is a 501(c)(3)<br />

nonprofit organization dedicated<br />

to preserving the historic Eddon<br />

Boatyard and its traditional uses<br />

to build awareness of the cultural<br />

livelihoods on <strong>Gig</strong> <strong>Harbor</strong>’s<br />

working waterfront. It hosts<br />

monthly music events, family boat<br />

building program, community boat<br />

restoration program, small craft<br />

livery (boat rental) service, and<br />

various marine and water safety<br />

workshops throughout the year.<br />

at the Skansie<br />

House Visitor and<br />

Interpretive Center<br />

<strong>Harbor</strong> WildWatch is a local<br />

environmental organization whose<br />

mission is to inspire stewardship<br />

of the Puget Sound by providing<br />

learning opportunities about the<br />

environment to the people of our<br />

local communities. At home in the<br />

Skansie House, <strong>Harbor</strong> WildWatch<br />

invites you to learn about things<br />

in, around and under the bay,<br />

along with beach etiquette and<br />

our local watershed. Experience<br />

an exhibit complete with a touch<br />

tank, interactive, augmented reality<br />

sandbox (you just have to try it!)<br />

and live video feed of <strong>Gig</strong> <strong>Harbor</strong><br />

Bay and more.<br />

Key Peninsula<br />

Historical Society<br />

and Museum<br />

Key Peninsula Historical Society<br />

and Museum is a short drive from<br />

<strong>Gig</strong> <strong>Harbor</strong>, on the beautiful Key<br />

Peninsula and offers a glimpse<br />

of yesterday years with displays<br />

on commerce, community and<br />

schools in the early days. The Key<br />

Peninsula Historical Society is<br />

dedicated to learning about and<br />

preserving the local history of the<br />

greater Key Peninsula. The museum<br />

offers campers at Penrose Point
