The free concerts feature a variety<br />

of rock bands from across the country,<br />

including the Grammy-nominated<br />

grunge and hard rock band Daughtry, St.<br />

Louis-based ’90s rock band Stir, Portrait<br />

- The Music of Kansas and the kid cast<br />

from the Broadway musical “School of<br />

Rock.”<br />

The Kids Zone remains open from<br />

noon-9 p.m. on July 4.<br />

The three-day spectacle ends with a bang<br />

thanks to the Jena “Dusty” Mielke Fireworks<br />

Spectacular grand finale at 9:30 p.m.<br />

on the festival grounds. The same viewing<br />

opportunity and restrictions apply to<br />

nearby Westhoff Park, 810 Sheppard Drive,<br />

as on July 3.<br />

Where to park<br />

Premium parking [$10] is available<br />

June <strong>27</strong>, 20<strong>18</strong><br />

on a first-come, first-served basis at the<br />

CarShield Field west parking lot. Free,<br />

general parking is available at Fort Zumwalt<br />

North High and Christian High, both<br />

located on Tom Ginnever Avenue. Free<br />

air-conditioned shuttles will run from both<br />

high schools to T.R. Hughes Boulevard<br />

near the festival entrance.<br />

Handicap accessible [ADA] Parking for<br />

the festival is located in Westhoff Park,<br />

810 Sheppard Drive. Shuttles will transport<br />

patrons at the ADA-accessible parking<br />

lot to the festival entrance.<br />

Drivers need to be aware of the following<br />

road closures on July 4:<br />

• 7 a.m. – Civic Park Drive from Woodlawn<br />

Avenue to Main Street, including<br />

access to City Hall from Main Street<br />

• 8:30 a.m. – Main Street from Elm Street<br />

to Tom Ginnever Avenue, all access to<br />

Main Street<br />

• 9 a.m. – Tom Ginnever Avenue from<br />

Main Street to T.R. Hughes Boulevard, all<br />

access to Tom Ginnever Avenue<br />

In addition, T.R. Hughes Boulevard will<br />

be closed between Cool Springs Industrial<br />

and Tom Ginnever Avenue starting at 7<br />

a.m. on July 1 and will not re-open to traffic<br />

until noon on July 5.<br />

Drivers also may need to plan alternative<br />

routes due to road closures for<br />

construction on Wabash Street and East<br />

Terra Lane.<br />
