Broadwater girls Belle and
Carla came in 7th and 8th,
a great effort from first
timers as it showed how
easy it is to learn.
put on a great day for all to enjoy, and happily
reported a great day was had by all.
There were 7 youngsters of varying ages under
15 division, some competing for the first time.
They were Sandro and Alvaro RDA, Katrina Chua,
Zack Ty-Simone, Zoe Lazaro and Derek and Dylan
Hebron. The 12 in the women’s division were
Nicole RDA, ces Tan, Carla Tasic, Bel Apelano,
Philippa Langrish, Zaharah Soriano, Mai Turner,
Lala Lazaro, Kathy Chua, Annette Fernandez,
Kail Kalalo and Daphne Sarmiento. While the
13 paddlers in the men’s open were, Linus Tiu,
Nicola, Reuben and Santino Lista, Alvaro and
Alfonso RDA, Joey Untalan, Rodel Isogon, Junivi
Aying, Javi Lagarda, Joaquin Lerma, Fred Cupat
and Antonio Evangelista.
The organizers also held training sessions and
a sunset paddle to the delight of all before a
sumptuous dinner provided by the hotel and
awards given to the winners of the day. In the
under 15’s Alvara RDA took line honors coming
in first while Sando RDA came second with Zoe
Lazaro taking out third spot. In the women’s
division Philippa Langrish was first Mai Turner
second and Lala Lazaro was
third. While the Broadwater

even on a paddle board came

Men’s division Alfonso RDA was first, Reuben
Lista second and Joey Untalan was third. After
the awards it was party time where great fun was
had by all.
