Prospector Series <strong>Poppet</strong> <strong>Valves</strong><br />
Design Features Provide High Reliability.<br />
<strong>Norgren</strong> Prospector <strong>Valves</strong> feature a short-stroke, positive-sealing,<br />
cushioned poppet. This rugged, simple design eliminates metal-tometal<br />
contact, insuring long life and trouble free operation. Shock<br />
absorption by the resilient mass of the poppet seals virtually<br />
eliminates the impact damage common to other designs. Worn or<br />
damaged poppet seals can be turned over, considerably<br />
extending their service life before replacement is necessary. With<br />
these reversible seals, the valve may be said to carry its own<br />
spare parts for quick and economical maintenance.<br />
High Flow<br />
A Cv of 1.2 to 49.5 provides exceptionally high flow, making<br />
Prospector <strong>Poppet</strong> <strong>Valves</strong> appropriate for a wide range of<br />
industrial applications.<br />
Valve Accessories<br />
Prospector <strong>Poppet</strong> Valve accessories include a footguard for footactuated<br />
valves, time delays for use with air and solenoid<br />
operators, mufflers, push-in tube fittings, and optional solenoid<br />
operators.<br />
Nitrile Rubber-Based Seals<br />
All <strong>Norgren</strong> Prospector <strong>Valves</strong> utilize nitrile O-rings and seals for<br />
superior compatibility, wear, and operation over a wide<br />
temperature range.<br />
Port Identification<br />
Each of the ports is identified by a permanent marking adjacent to<br />
the port on the body or subbase.<br />
Two Mounting Styles<br />
All Prospector <strong>Valves</strong> are manufactured with<br />
mounting holes and are available as inline<br />
mounted valves. The 4-port/2-position (4-way)<br />
valves are also available in a single subbase<br />
mounted style. Subbase valves are attached<br />
to a single subbase with six socket head cap<br />
screws, providing providing easy removal and<br />
installation.<br />
Durable Finish<br />
External surfaces are protected with an oven<br />
cured, epoxy resin paint which provides<br />
excellent corrosion and chip resistant<br />
protection.<br />
Aesthetic Appearance<br />
<strong>Norgren</strong>'s high luster black gives any control<br />
