38 CREATIVE SPARKS “What are you doing there all alone?” Legend’s voice penetrated my thoughts. He slowed down his pace to match mine. “Let’s go” From then, we started roaming the sea together and became closer as the days passed. Occasionally, he would take me to some of the wonderful places he knew. We became friends, I could say. I became happy with him around. Could this happiness compare to what I had had back in the village? From time to time, the evil thought of catching him and bringing the legendary fish back would come to me. Then I would feel guilty for having evil intentions toward the one thing I acknowledged as my only true friend. Dear Legend, my one and only true friend, One day, Legend and I were talking about casual things like normal. Out of the blue, almost casually, he said, “You know? Sometimes you just have to listen to your heart. You yourself know the best.” He said this as if he were aware of the secret buried deep in my heart. ‘You, yourself know huh.’ Looking into the water, I saw myself staring back at me. ‘I have decided.’ Closing my journal that had accompanied me for almost my entire life, I sighed with emotion. That period was the most
