New sales director with international<br />

expertise at NKE Austria<br />

Austrian bearing manufacturer NKE Austria GmbH has appointed a<br />

new sales director as of April <strong>2018</strong>. Jesús Monforte, an engineer with<br />

qualifications also in business administration, has extensive international<br />

experience in industrial product and market development.<br />

Before joining at NKE, Jesús Monforte was active at<br />

ABB and Mann + Hummel in Spain, Asia Pacific<br />

and Germany. He now brings his international<br />

expertise to the Austrian bearing manufacturer,<br />

which, together with Spanish<br />

company Fersa Bearings established the<br />

Fersa Group 2 years ago. Both NKE and<br />

Fersa are active internationally in the<br />

development, production and sales of<br />

bearings for the global automotive and<br />

industrial markets, with Fersa covering the<br />

automotive and NKE the industrial sector. The<br />

Group is represented on all continents, with 4<br />

production sites, 6 distribution centres, 4 R&D facilities, as well as sales<br />

offices and trade partners in more than 86 countries. Engineering,<br />

product development, production and final processing of components,<br />

assembly, quality assurance, logistics, and sales and marketing are<br />

centralised at its Steyr headquarters.<br />

venture in South Africa<br />

Turck and Banner Engineering have<br />

established a new joint venture in South<br />

Africa, by acquiring RET Automation<br />

Controls, their long-standing sales<br />

partner. The name of the new sales<br />

company will be changed from RET<br />

Automation Controls to Turck Banner<br />

South Africa, and it will be managed by<br />

Brandon Topham and Garth Cubitt,<br />

previous RET shareholders. The 14<br />

existing RET employees will also remain<br />

in the new organization to keep providing<br />

support and expertise to sales<br />

partners and customers. The joint<br />

transparent, the Switzerland-based<br />

sports shoe manufacturer On AG<br />

has introduced the supply<br />

chain management software<br />

Osca. The cloud-based SCM<br />

system of Bochum-based<br />

Setlog GmbH controls all<br />

transport-relevant processes<br />

from the order to the<br />

delivery. The system<br />

replaces e-mail and Excel<br />

lists as the central communication<br />

platform for all suppliers.<br />

The first manufacturers in<br />

Vietnam went live in May and China<br />

will follow in the upcoming weeks.<br />
