Introducing the new
CICM Advisory Council
The results of the Advisory Council election were
announced at the CICM Annual General Meeting in June.

THE Council is split into four
credit profession specialisms
with three representatives in
each – Trade, International,
Consumer, and Credit
Services. The other positions
on the Council are filled by 11 Regional
representatives.
Of the 17 members to join the Advisory
Council, the following are all new to the
role: Sarah Aldridge, Lauren Carter, Laural
Jefferies, Martin Kirby, Julie-Anne Moody-
Webster, and Paul Taylor.
We spoke to three of them:
Laural Jefferies MCICM, Consumer
Credit Representative, believes building
relationships and exchanging knowledge
is crucial: “I wanted to join the Advisory
Council so that I can offer feedback and
share my knowledge and my experiences in
credit management and credit assessments
in the commercial and consumer world
with our members and beyond.”
Sarah Aldridge FCICM (Grad) takes up
the role of Credit Services Representative.
She wants to attract the next generation of
CICM members and ensure that training
and education is relevant and enjoyable
for them: “I hope I can bring some fresh
ideas and energy that can help us to
continue to progress and drive the industry
forward.”
Martin Kirby FCICM will represent the
North West, and hopes to put something
back into the industry he feels so passionate
about: “I want to use my years of knowledge
and experience to help shape the future
direction of the Institute and help to
encourage the next generation of credit
professionals.”
