Our Gold program is an active and healthy living program for<br />
older adults. The more you do, the greater the benefit!<br />
Bronze Level<br />
Enjoy our Heart of Gold classes<br />
Silver Level<br />
Take part in Heart of Gold classes, and add on Specialty<br />
programs, use our Fitness Centre, pool, do the lounge etc<br />
Gold Level<br />
Bronze & Silver, plus get involved in our Gold Club Active<br />
Clubs and/or become a Gold Ambassador (see info on back<br />
page).<br />
BE SOCIAL!<br />
Studies show that working out with a friend increases<br />
consistency and results. Our Gold Club Lounge (tea &<br />
coffee), regular lectures, Potlucks, social events and<br />
Club activities are a great way to mix, mingle and<br />
meet new friends.<br />
Class Descriptions<br />
Heart of Gold<br />
Heart of Gold is the core program of<br />
Gold Club and provides a general<br />
all-round workout to keep you moving<br />
and improve your cardio health and<br />
flexibility.<br />
Heart of Gold Plus<br />
<strong>Dovercourt</strong>’s signature Heart of Gold<br />
class with a twist! Using a variety of<br />
equipment, <strong>Dovercourt</strong>’s instructors will<br />
improve your cardio, strength and<br />
flexibility and keep you moving. This<br />
class is suitable for those looking for a<br />
moderate to intense workout that’s fun<br />
and engaging.<br />
Small Group Strength<br />
Training<br />
This program takes place in the weight<br />
room where one of <strong>Dovercourt</strong>’s Certified<br />
Personal Trainers will create an<br />
individualized work-out designed for<br />
your fitness needs. During the class, you<br />
will perform your routine while the<br />
trainer circulates and gives assistance.<br />
The small class size allows for lots of<br />
personal attention.<br />

Strong Spines<br />
This class was created to address the<br />
common complaint of back pain. Using a<br />
variety of exercises that focus on form<br />
and proper body alignment you will<br />
build support for the spine and strengthen<br />
your core and commonly injured<br />
areas like the shoulders, hips and low<br />
back.<br />
<strong>gold</strong> strength, BALANCE<br />
& mobility<br />
A fun and creative class! Experience a<br />
variety of exercises designed to improve<br />
your strength and balance. This class<br />
focuses on functional fitness to make<br />
everyday movements easier and maintain<br />
your active lifestyle. A variety of<br />
equipment will be used in this class.<br />
BALANCE, CORE AND FLEXIBILTY<br />
This class addresses the top three issues<br />
for active aging: core strength, balance<br />
and flexibility. Exercises are done in a<br />
slow and controlled manner, with<br />
options given to suit your body’s<br />
abilities.<br />
Gold Yoga<br />
Yoga is an ancient practice to strengthen<br />
the body, improve flexibility and<br />
integrate mind, body and spirit. Slow<br />
down and take a moment to breathe and<br />
enjoy the moment. Mats are provided<br />
but participants are welcome to bring<br />
their own.<br />
Gold Aquafit<br />
Experience the weightlessness of water<br />
while you improve your fitness in<br />
<strong>Dovercourt</strong>’s heated pool. Aquafitness is<br />
great for older adults with joint issues<br />
such as arthritis or hip and knee replacements.<br />

hot tub and sauna after your class?
