52 • September 2018 What do you miss most about high school?
Jena McNeece The people–specifically Mrs. Wills, Mrs. Carter, and Mrs. Lollar. These teachers made a lifelong impact on me, by both their fine instruction and character. Adam Davis What I miss most about high school is the camaraderie between the students and teachers. I was a part of a very tight knit class and we did a lot together, inside and outside of school. There was something very special about the atmosphere at Mt. Salus that I just haven’t experienced anywhere else. Cat Hasie What I miss most are the opportunities it brought. Extracurricular activities gave me an opportunity to meet others with similar interests and a chance to try different clubs until I found one that was right. It gave me opportunities to learn a variety of subjects and the resources to explore them further. After college, I became a paralegal but in high school I was a future artist, a politician, an attorney, a teacher or farmer. I just had to learn how to become one, which high school equipped me to do. I miss the opportunities high school gives because they are endless and ever changing. Erin Fults I miss some of the activities of high school like playing sports. Some days I miss how carefree life really was back then, even though it didn’t always feel like it at the time.
