Christingle has been helping to<br />

change the lives of children for<br />

almost half a century. Now in its 50th<br />

year, Christingle, a celebratory event<br />

named after the Christingles that are<br />

lit during the service, continues to<br />

bring hope and raise vital funds to<br />

help transform the lives of vulnerable<br />

children and young people. By taking<br />

part in Christingle at:<br />

All Saints’ Church, Milford on Sea on<br />

Sunday 9 December, 5pm<br />

you can change the lives of even<br />

more children in need of help as well<br />

as enjoy the warmth of a vibrant<br />

celebration created specifically with<br />

children in mind. Right now, more<br />

than 118,000 children and young<br />

people are facing issues of hardship,<br />

abuse and neglect which are ruining<br />

their childhoods and futures. <strong>The</strong><br />

Children’s Society make it their<br />

mission to bring hope to children and<br />

young people during life’s most<br />

desperate moments, helping them to<br />

build a better future. <strong>The</strong> funds raised<br />

at Christingle celebrations across the<br />

country are vital in helping them to<br />

continue working to tackle issues<br />

such as poverty and neglect, sexual<br />

exploitation, substance misuse and<br />

mental health.<br />

By providing direct support <strong>The</strong><br />

Children's’ Society has been able to<br />

help thousands of children and young<br />

people move on from the effects of<br />

suffering harm and abuse, to taking<br />

positive steps in their lives. As well as<br />

providing one-to-one support<br />

services, their research, policy and<br />

campaigns work focuses on lobbying<br />

government and influencing decision<br />

makers to ensure that all children are<br />

kept safe from harm and provided<br />

with the support they need to build<br />

their futures.<br />
