Rothschild became blind at age 15 due to a rare form of retinitis pigmentosa. “My world literally became dark,” she said. “Not just physically but spiritually and mentally dark, as well.” As a Christian, she knew her life was at a crossroads. “I began to understand that my blindness could have been the thing that separated me from God and been a source of bitterness and anger,” Rothschild said. Instead, her blindness became something that created a dependence on God and a bridge to connect her to God in a deeper way. It’s that message of hope and promise no matter the circumstances that Rothschild is bringing to the Fresh Grounded Faith [FGF] Conference Oct. 19-20 at The Rock Church in Ballwin.
