The Port Adelaide Magpies Football Club is seeking<br />

a Mini League Manager for season 2010.<br />

During every League home game there will be<br />

schools and football clubs, connected with the Port<br />

Adelaide Magpies that will play a game during<br />

half time.<br />

Be involved in the club and the running of match<br />

day by helping our future stars prepare for their<br />

game during half time.<br />

Prepare these kids for the game, get them excited<br />

SANfL WOMeN’S fOOtBALL LAuNCH<br />

The SANFL launched its women’s footy season this<br />

week (April 13) at AAMI Stadium in great style,<br />

announcing plans to double its female participation<br />

in the game to 20,000.<br />

SANFL Game Development David Hutton said the<br />

League was committed to giving all South Australians<br />

<strong>–</strong> male and female <strong>–</strong> every opportunity to be involved<br />

in football.<br />

“We have inspiring female footballers in South<br />

Australia and the numbers currently stand at 10,000<br />

from Auskick to senior level,” he said.<br />

“Our target over the next five years is to become<br />

Australia’s premier state for women’s footy, boasting<br />

the most female footballers relative to our population.”<br />

Representatives of women’s football had plenty to<br />

smile about on the day with the announcement of<br />

South Australia’s new seniors club (Central District<br />

Women’s Football Club), the inaugural U18s State<br />

Team, two new all-girls Auskick centres in Adelaide’s<br />

north and the upcoming 2011 National Women’s<br />

Championships to be hosted in SA.<br />

WILL CHAMBO SMASH tHe reCOrd?<br />

Sturt’s star forward Brant Chambers could be in line<br />

to break the club’s goalkicking record this weekend<br />

against the Eagles at House Brothers Oval. Chambo’s<br />

goal tally sits at 632 - just three majors short of Rick<br />

Davies’ 635-goal record for the Unley-based club.<br />

Chambers edged into the top 10 SANFL goalkickers<br />

of all-time list last season and currently stands as<br />

number eight. He has a way to go before slipping into<br />

seventh place, presently held by Norwood’s Bruce<br />

Schultz with 669 majors.<br />

SA LOtterIeS fOOtY tIPSter <strong>–</strong> <strong>rOuNd</strong> 3<br />

Congratulations to Mig Cripple, who won Round<br />

3’s SA Lotteries SANFL and AFL footy tipping<br />

competition. Mig tipped 11 out of 12 winners,<br />

correctly predicting the 29-point margin of the<br />

feature match, Central District and West Adelaide.<br />

Mig wins an iPod Shuffle, a $50 SA Lotteries<br />

Variety Pack, a $50 Checkside Tavern voucher<br />

and a double pass to an SANFL home and away<br />

match. The top 10 tipping leaders are: Go-Legs,<br />
