State Officer Duties:
Prior to Convention:
Attend Convention Planning meeting if invited by State Sponsor
Draft Keynote Speech - no longer than 2 minutes
Send copy of Keynote Speech to State Sponsor
Notify State Sponsor and State Council Chair of any visiting officers
At Convention:
Wear official Beta dress (dark suit, Beta tie/scarf) on first day and for first General Session;
professional dress other times
Attend the State Officer Meeting
Introduce yourself at Candidate Meeting
Assist State Sponsor with any tasks during competitions
Assist National Sponsors with any tasks assigned
Preside over assigned General Session
Be introduced during first General Session
Participate in Installation of New Officers
Assist with Awards Presentation
Leadership Representative Duties
Prior to Summit:
Research speakers and prepare :30 introduction of speakers
At Summit:
Expected dress is business casual. A collared shirt, quarter zip, nice blouse, khaki or black
slacks or skirt are acceptable
Assist with registration
Introduce speakers at two sessions
Assist with interviews for Leadership Representative selections
Present Leadership plaques
Present Qualifier awards for Rapid Response, Service Snapshot and Lead Outside the Box
Assist with Rapid Response
Evaluate Service Snapshots and Lead Outside the Box Presentations
