This slightly enlarged model of a human ear<br />

with detailed reproduction of all anatomical<br />

details shows the auditory canal, the tymphanic<br />

membrane, malleus, incus, stapes and cochlea.<br />

Surrounding bony structures are visible as well<br />

as muscular and cartilaginous tissues. A perfect<br />

model for desktop use.<br />

This model shows the details of the external, middle and inner ear in three times<br />

life size. The eardrum with malleus, incus and stapes can be removed. Additional<br />

removable part is the cochlea and labyrinth with vestibular and cochlear nerves,<br />

one half of the cochlea can be removed. Mounted on baseboard.<br />

This excellent model shows the outer and inner<br />

structure of the ear from the outer ear to the<br />

eardrum. This multi-purpose model can be used<br />

for patient information or medical education.<br />

The flexible material allows to use this model<br />

also as training aid for audiphone insertion.<br />

The middle ear is composed of three tiny<br />

bones: the malleus<br />

(or hammer), incus (or anvil),<br />

and stapes (or stirrup). These bones carry<br />

and increase the amplitude of sound from<br />

the eardrum to the inner ear. They are found<br />

in the tympanic cavity of the temporal bone.<br />

When assembled to reflect their formation,<br />

they are small enough to fit on a fingernail.<br />

Ossicles are shipped embedded in a custom<br />

made foam insert inside a clear plastic petri<br />

dish. Ossicles can be removed easily.<br />
