We have recently recruited for the 2018-19
cohort of CCF (RAF) Cadets (pictured
amongst the rest of the contingent looking
smart ahead of Remembrance Sunday). Our
newest cadets recently enjoyed their first field
trip to Inskip, where they spent two days
learning how to be a cadet, amongst practical
sessions doing climbing, abseiling, low ropes
and weapons training!
The CCF is looking forward to a fully packed
year ahead.
Beth, as the senior Cadet at King’s Warrington (and the trust) holding
the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer, will be travelling to London to take
part in the Royal British Legion’s National Festival of Remembrance
held at the Royal Albert Hall.
Beth will be representing the Combined Cadet Force across all of the
UK by fulfilling the role of Standard Bearer, responsible for parading
the standard for the Combined Cadet Force escorted by cadets from
Stowe School CCF and Woodbridge School CCF.
This is a great honour for Beth, a 6th Form Student from King’s
Leadership Academy Warrington who says:
"Here at King's we believe high quality education is complimented with strong character and leadership traits. Students from year 7 right through
to year 13 are encouraged to become more than just young adults who perform well in exams, but successful citizens who can make the correct life
decisions that will impact the future". Beth has made everyone here at King's and the community of Warrington proud of her achievements, it was
only 2 months ago Beth opened up here GCSE results and achieved 8 grades 8's and 2 grade 7's. Now she continues to reap the rewards for the
tireless effort she applies by fulfilling the role of Standard Bearer at the Royal Albert Hall."
