Bike It Now! offers everything from<br />
half-day bike hire to a range of<br />
tour packages, either self-guided<br />
or supported, from one to nine<br />
days in duration. It also operates<br />
an independent bike shop retailing<br />
well-recognised Scott, Trek, Merida<br />
and Avanti brands and a great range<br />
of accessories and clothing, all<br />
combined with a full workshop for<br />
getting ‘‘little issues’’ sorted.<br />
Electric bikes are presently taking the<br />
cycling industry by storm and Bike It<br />
Now! is at the forefront of the E-Bike<br />
revolution, having retailed and rented<br />
them out since <strong>November</strong> 2013.<br />
“That’s quite mind-blowing for a little<br />
shop in Clyde which has a population<br />
of 1000 people,” says Fletch. “It shows<br />
it’s not about where you are, but<br />
how you do it, and we’re becoming<br />
known as the place to go not only for<br />
E-Bikes but for anything to do with<br />
bikes whether it be sales, hiring bikes,<br />
bike repairs or planning cycle tours.”<br />
Fletch says E-Bikes complement<br />
traditional bikes attracting many<br />
new people into cycling, especially<br />
effecting the social side of it –cyclist’s<br />
of all levels can now ride together.<br />
“The market for E-Bikes is huge -<br />
maybe older people looking for a<br />
bit of exercise or young families who<br />
want to explore our cycle trails –<br />
whatever, the E-Bikes mean they can<br />
do longer rides.” Our E-Bike motto is<br />

holidays are the One-Day Wonder<br />
rides they offer on either the Otago<br />
Central Rail Trail or the Roxburgh<br />
Gorge Trail. “Auripo to Clyde is one<br />
of the most spectacular sections<br />
of the OCRT, taking in the railway<br />
viaducts and tunnels of the Poolburn<br />
Gorge,’’ says co-owner Duncan. The<br />
Roxburgh Gorge, incidentally, has<br />
been called “New Zealand’s Grand<br />
