OVER 30 WOMEN/1<br />
The 2018 season was the<br />
greatest year for Woman’s<br />
football in the history of the<br />
AJFC. 6 years after<br />
introducing Women's<br />
Football to the AJFC, this<br />
team has secured all the<br />
titles in Women's Football,<br />
winning the Over 30 Division<br />
1 Women's Grand Final, after<br />
claiming the undefeated<br />
minor Premiership.<br />

Our goal this year was to beat last year’s efforts and make the final<br />
series. We managed to achieve so much more. We became<br />
undefeated Minor Premiers thus qualifying for the NSW Champion<br />
of Champions competition and winning the Grand Final against last<br />
year’s winner Leichhardt Saints and taking to Campbell Park for<br />
the very first time, the Eileen Potter Cup.<br />
What was the winning formula? We had so many strong key<br />
players. Our defensive line was tough, fast and adaptable. Our<br />
midfielders played an attacking and defensive role seamlessly,<br />
they were super fit and worked extremely hard. The Strikers were<br />
phenomenal scoring an incredible 86 goals. Our Goalkeeper<br />
Juliette Flowers, a team favourite, has developed into a quality<br />
keeper who has dedicated herself to her goalkeeping role and has<br />
kept the team on the winning side with some excellent saves and<br />
conceding only 10 goals for the season!!!<br />

Our Coach Tyron once again encouraged a style of possessionbased<br />
football that suited the team. A very strong pressing in<br />
defence game which rolled into a total possession passing game,<br />
and absolute quality finishes that demolished opposition teams<br />
early in the game.<br />
