Solar Heater Box for Agricultural
Crops Insect Control
TECHNOLOGY DESCRIPTION
This invention is a solar heater box which is prepared by trapping
solar radiation and concentrated in a predetermined space and
temperature.
TECHNOLOGY FEATURES
This solar heater boxes ensure high insect mortality, prevents
infestation and preserves the original product qualities. It
preserves dry agricultural products within shorter time without
affecting the product quality. Solar heater boxes require no
electricity to work.
ADVANTAGES
• ensures high insect mortality,
• maintains quality of food
• safe energy
INDUSTRY OVERVIEW
Prospect: Household Population, Military Industry, Nongovernmental
organizations (NGOs)
In the past, people have been designing various style of solar
heating boxes for many purposes. Solar (green energy) heat
disinfestations is a suitable and efficient method for management
of stored product insects in tropical countries where sunshine is
abundant throughout the year. The working principle is for solar
radiation to be trapped and concentrated in a predetermined
space that can be used to heat products to a predetermined
temperature; and the said temperature is maintained for a
predetermine period of time. Solar heater boxes ensure high
insect mortality, prevents infestation and preserves original
product qualities. Solar heater boxes preserve dry agricultural
products within shorter time without affecting product quality.
Solar heater boxes require no electricity to work. To date, there are
7.6 million households in Malaysia with average household size
to be 4.1 persons that might find this product to be feasible. In
addition, it may also be applicable to be used by military camps,
various non-governmental organization (NGOs) specifically,
the Environment NGOs (75), Indigenous People NGOs (17), and
Refugees NGOs (16).
