Limits the Learn<strong>in</strong>g Curve<br />

While stress to a certa<strong>in</strong> extent can sometimes help students<br />

to have better attention and focus while study<strong>in</strong>g , anxiety<br />

causes negative effect on cognitive function<strong>in</strong>g. Study<br />

shows that students suffer<strong>in</strong>g from severe anxiety levels<br />

perform quite low as compared to other students. Moreover,<br />

it is found that anxiety is among one of the top reasons<br />

beh<strong>in</strong>d students’ school drop-out rate <strong>in</strong> many parts of the<br />

world. And which ultimately leads to economic losses for<br />

<strong>in</strong>dividuals and the society at large.<br />

Different Disorders<br />

Generalized Anxiety Disorder:<br />

Fatigue, irritability, muscle tension, or sleep disturbances<br />

are the symptoms of this disorder, which can occur due to<br />

performance, trouble <strong>in</strong> relationships or other concerns.<br />

Separation Anxiety Disorder:<br />

This disorder occurs due to the fear of separation. Children<br />

with this disorder frequently worry about their parent's<br />

advantages of Cognitive Behavioural <strong>The</strong>rapy (CBT) <strong>in</strong><br />

treat<strong>in</strong>g children’s suffer<strong>in</strong>g with anxiety.<br />

CBT can be very effective <strong>in</strong> combat<strong>in</strong>g anxiety; <strong>in</strong> fact,<br />

many researches have proven that – this (CBT) is one of the<br />

most effective treatments for reduc<strong>in</strong>g symptoms of severe<br />

anxiety. And unlike tak<strong>in</strong>g antidepressants, this therapy<br />

helps children to manage their anxiety by themselves.<br />

Accord<strong>in</strong>g to this therapy- “How we th<strong>in</strong>k and act, affect<br />

how we feel,” and by chang<strong>in</strong>g the th<strong>in</strong>k<strong>in</strong>g that is distorted<br />

and behaviour that is dysfunctional, we can change our<br />

emotion and elim<strong>in</strong>ate anxiety from children’s m<strong>in</strong>d.<br />

Childhood is the most crucial stage for the development of<br />

human bra<strong>in</strong>. And certa<strong>in</strong>ly bra<strong>in</strong> is the most vital body<br />

organ required to work properly. <strong>The</strong>refore, it is highly<br />

advisable to monitor the growth of your ward, consistently<br />

and rigorously. And if your child shows any of the signs of<br />
