FILMAM – Established in 1870, the<br />

used in these knives comes from<br />
Germany (Thyssen Krupp), is AISI<br />
420, <strong>and</strong> is specially treated using a<br />
traditional method of high quality temper<br />
with more than 56 degrees of hardness.<br />
This impressive, satin finished steel has<br />
molybdenum vanadium silicium <strong>and</strong><br />
carbon. With the right precision, these<br />
components make the stainless steel very<br />
durable, rust resistant, flexible <strong>and</strong> easy<br />
to use. The h<strong>and</strong>les are crafted of a fine<br />
beech wood, from France, <strong>and</strong> are treated<br />
with a special polish that provides added<br />
resistance <strong>and</strong> durability. The nature of<br />
beech wood (very light yet very strong)<br />
provides a smooth <strong>and</strong> comfortable grip.<br />
The unique functionality of these knives<br />
is also sure to impress, with the metal<br />
collar that serves as an additional safety<br />

of the classic utility pocketknife. The<br />
centerpiece of the knives are the<br />
oiled walnut h<strong>and</strong>les that support<br />
the traditional locking mechanism. A<br />
rotating ring inserted into the brass collar<br />
secures the blade in the deployed as well<br />
as closed position. As the active partner<br />
for this project, Todesco (Maniago/Italy)<br />
had already patented this mechanism in<br />
