Parents say the school feels like an extension of family. Children thrive in this environment where they are cared for, respected and challenged. The robust curriculum offers age-appropriate learning where children realize they are life-long learners through books, music, art, gross and fine motor activities, math, science, drama and nature play. All teachers are certified and educated in early childhood best practices and envelop students in a loving, caring, and nurturing atmosphere of learning. All Things Bright and Beautiful is located at the beautiful and historic Church of the Holy Comforter, just blocks from Lake Michigan, and children in older classes can explore and play at Kenilworth Beach. Additional walking field trips include a spring excursion to Joseph Sears School to watch the dress rehearsal of the annual eighth grade play and visits to local parks and playgrounds. Visits from firefighters, police officers, chefs, veterinarians, yoga instructors, librarians, and the Kohl Story Bus enrich the preschool curriculum. A hay-ride, pumpkin carving, and family movie night are examples of events that are open to the whole family and are included in the base tuition. Enrichment and Lunch-Bunch are elective tuition-based opportunities. As a DCFS licensed program, All Things Bright and Beautiful is one of only a few schools able to offer drop-off classes for 2 year olds.
