everybody back."
For stretches of Friday's
game the Titans confused
the Trevians with a press,
but eventually it was
something that Weissenstein
and his team went
away from.
"That was our game
plan, to pressure them,"
he said. "We didn't do
a very good job of it
early, we made a little
bit of a run but we just
didn't do what we needed
to do."
There's a chance the
two might face again in
the regional final, as the
Trevians earned the fourth
seed in the Evanston Sectional
and the Titans the
fifth seed. If seeds hold
true, the two would face
each other on Valentine's
Day at Niles North for a
regional title.

What’s one item on
your bucket list?
To snowboard on a big
mountain in Colorado. I’ve
always wanted to do that.
If you could travel
anywhere in the world,
where would it be and
why?
At the moment, California.
It’s way too cold here.
I’ve been to the Bay Area
and wouldn’t mind going
again.
What’s the best part
about being a Loyola
athlete?
The teammates you
have. Everyone is happy to
be with you and everyone
is happy to work with each
other. It’s a whole team
experience.
What’s been your
favorite moment at
Loyola?
Winning nationals in
rowing my sophomore
year.
What’s the best advice
you’ve ever gotten and
who was it from?
My rowing coaches all
seem to tell me “Keep
your head down and keep
pushing.”
If you could play
a sport other than
swimming and rowing,
what would it be?
I’ve always thought
about playing football because
I’m a bigger guy.
What’s one of your pet
peeves?
Sandbagging. When
people don’t give their full
effort it bothers me.
If you won a million
dollars in the lottery,
what would you do
with it?
Probably sit and look at
it for a little while. Then I’d
go buy a nice car.
What’s one of your
guilty pleasures?
Cookies. Mrs. Field’s
cookies. That will make me
300 pounds one day.
What’s the biggest
difference between
rowing and
swimming?
The teammates you
have. In rowing, you have
eight other guys relying
on you. In swimming, unless
it’s a relay, it’s you, the
clock and the people next
to you. You’re in charge of
your own race but in rowing
it’s eight guys rowing
as one.
