SLCC offers three camps. Sing Out
Summer Camp, for third- through sixthgraders,
runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. June
17-21 with the potential for aftercare.
Acappellooza Jr. A Cappella Camp, for
sixth- through eighth-graders, runs from
9 a.m.-3 p.m. June 10-14. High School
Vocal Jazz Camp, for ninth- through 12thgraders,
runs in the evenings from June
3-7. All camps end with a performance
for friends, family and the community.

Camp Whitfield engages children in grades
K-7 in activities such as science, technology,
arts & crafts, sports and games. Whitfield
School teachers lead students through
hands-on experiences designed not only
to educate students but also to allow them
to explore their interests while having fun.
Campers will enjoy Whitfield’s fabulous
facilities with indoor and outdoor spaces.
Lunch, snacks and all material fees are
included in registration. Also available are
Whitfield Sports Camps in which Whitfield
coaches provide training and instruction,
and athletes improve their play and have
fun. Sports camps include boys basketball,
girls basketball, girls volleyball, girls field
hockey and dance. Ages, prices, dates and

YMCA Camp Lakewood is an overnight
summer camp for boys and girls ages
6 to 17, situated on 5,200 wooded
acres with a 360-acre lake, 90 minutes
south of St. Louis. While children
enjoy camp activities including zip line,
climbing tower, sports, water activities,
horseback riding, arts and crafts and
much more, the Y also teaches the core
values of caring, honesty, respect and
responsibility. Kids make memories and
friendships that can last a lifetime, learn
about the world around them through a
culturally diverse staff, and have a safe
and fun-filled experience. This is why
campers call Camp Lakewood “my camp.”
