IMC offers programs for orchestra, band, rock, jazz, choir, musical<br />

theatre, songwriting and sound engineering. The camp has been providing<br />

young musicians with exceptional musical training and unforgettable<br />

summer-camp experiences since 1961. Campers fine-tune skills as<br />

musicians, develop friendships and forge a lifelong love of music while<br />

enjoying the setting of one of Canada’s finest camp facilities. The IMC<br />

arrive playing at a high level on their instruments, and will leave with a<br />

receive lessons from highly-skilled faculty as well as collaborating in daily<br />

chamber music rehearsals, performing in masterclasses and recitals, attending<br />

workshops and presentations on various topics, attending faculty<br />

This international symposium will bring together a diverse array of<br />

international philosophers, scholars, teachers, teacher educators, and<br />

performers interested in engaging in philosophical research regarding<br />

music education. The symposium seeks to encourage and stimulate discussions<br />

on a wide range of topics related to philosophy of music education<br />

from international and interdisciplinary perspectives. This includes<br />

in particular research concerned with intersections of philosophy of<br />

music education and music education policy, or comparative and international<br />

This festival will feature a full program of masterclasses, concerts and<br />

competitions. The programs of the school encompass private lessons<br />

with internationally-renowned teachers, masterclasses and workshops,<br />

chamber music classes, orchestral and ensemble classes, solo performances<br />

with the Academy orchestras, and solo and chamber music recitals,<br />

as well as special seminars for Ear Training, Composition and Theory of<br />

Music. Participation in the festival is incredibly valuable for musicians of<br />

all ages and levels. The extensive musical training they will receive during<br />

this period will inevitably have a great impact on their personal growth<br />

as musicians and as individuals, and it is evident that students have benefited<br />

from these tremendous learning opportunities in the past 17 years.<br />

Daytime music classes August 12 to 16 are for everyone from beginners<br />

to experienced players. Last year half the students were adults!<br />

Beginner, Junior and Senior levels of strings, bands, orchestra, fiddle,<br />

guitar and vocal programs. Senior strings and band members create the<br />

Festival Orchestra. Have fun, meet new friends and include your family!<br />

Fees run $180 to $200 and include tickets to the August Evening Concert<br />
