Holiday Club<br />
"Roll up, Roll up!" was the cry of<br />
Barker Keith to our circus themed<br />
holiday club. Roll up they did ! 107<br />
children in all came along to 'The<br />
Greatest Show' this February half term.<br />
What does it take to put on an event<br />
like this ? Well it takes 55 willing<br />
volunteers, about 600 beautifully<br />
decorated sponge cakes, 400 crafts,<br />
and months of preparation. Add to that<br />
a lot of prayer, some great Bible stories<br />
and complete reliance on God! You<br />
then have all the ingredients for one of<br />
the Greatest weeks!<br />
We had some of the greatest stories<br />
from the Bible; Creation, Samson,<br />
and Daniel and finishing with the<br />
Lord Jesus himself. The children<br />
listened intently, sang and danced<br />
enthusiastically and booed, cheered<br />
noisily in the drama.<br />
Our thanks to all of you who prayed<br />
daily for us, volunteered in any<br />
capacity, or donated cakes. We couldn't<br />
have done it without you! Keith Jewell<br />
gave really clear teaching and the<br />
children responded.<br />
We were thrilled that the Grand Finale<br />
on Sunday was well attended by most<br />
of the children and their families. An<br />
exhausting, and exhilarating week but<br />
totally worth it. Can't wait until next<br />
year!<br />
