Instrumentation<br />

The first movement of the work includes a part for ‘junk’ percussion. The particular<br />

composition of this battery of instruments is specific to Pedro Carneiro, and is listed below as<br />

notated in the score. It is intended that the work may be performed by other players using an<br />

alternative battery of instruments.<br />

Sound samples of the individual instruments appear, in the digital download, as ordered<br />

below (1)–(16) as files [5]–[20]. These samples may be used to assist in determining possible<br />

alternatives.<br />
