New travel channel:
Tourism is one
of Devon's most
important business
sectors, we're here
to help promote the
county to a broader
audience.
Why Inspired To Visit you may ask?
Well I'd say it's true that with so
many tourist destinations available,
it's important that Devon is actively
'sold' as a destination to a broader
audience. Certainly many people in
@inspiredtovisit
the UK know and love Devon, but it's
equally true that new generations
and people from abroad probably
don't have the awareness of this
fabulous county that they should.
It's certainly evident that many
people coming to the UK from abroad
have London, York, The Lakes, etc.
in their sights, but Devon is low
or non-existent in many tourists'
holiday itinery. This is something
that can be changed, but it takes
time and long-term effort to achieve
this change.
There is no doubt that over the next
few years the UK is set to receive
a major influx of visitors, what we
need to do is engineer 'Devon' within
the digital world. Our new Inspired
To Visit channel will be constantly
working on expanding our access
to this valuable trade for our county
and industry. The Inspired To Visit
website is due to launch later this
year.
