Northern Broadsides return with their new production
of Much Ado About Nothing. Staged in a World War
Two setting and told in true Northern Broadsides
style, Shakespeare’s glorious romantic comedy is sure

Immersion Theatre are back with The Amazing
Adventures of Pinocchio, a brand
new larger-than-life musical
adaptation of the much-loved
children’s book by Carlo Collodi.
Packed with comedy, audience
interaction and a completely
original score, this high energy
musical promises to be the
perfect treat for the whole family,

Full House Theatre present Jack & The Beanstalk,
a hilarious new show offering a new perspective
on a traditional tale for today’s families. Featuring
mesmerising giant puppetry, wonderful characters and a
gripping story, it’s guaranteed that all will be entertained,
Tue 9 & Wed 10 Apr.
Ballet Central returns to the theatre with another
exceptional range of repertoire. A chance to see young
dance graduates on the cusp of their professional
careers perform a varied programme of classical ballet
and contemporary dance theatre, Thu 11 Apr.
As part of the theatre’s 200th Anniversary celebrations,
Sir Ian McKellen will be appearing on the stage as part
of his 80th birthday celebration solo tour. Performing
Tolkien, Shakespeare and others, Fri 12 & Sat 13 Apr.
(Both performances are sold out, Waiting list only).
Well-loved stage and screen actor Timothy West CBE
returns to the theatre along with his son, respected
RSC actor, film and television star Samuel West, both of
whom will talk about their lives and careers in an intimate
evening of anecdotes and stories. A fundraiser for

Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds Young
Company presents Alan Bennett’s delightful
and witty adaptation of The Wind in the
Willows. Thu 18 – Sat 20 Apr.
A group of fundraisers are walking 200 miles
to raise funds for the theatre with the 200 for
200 Sponsored Walk. You can get involved
and walk any part of the route but in particular
you are invited to join the final day of the
walk either from Knettishall to Theatre Royal
(15 miles) or from Ixworth to Theatre Royal (8 miles),
both of which will end with a welcome party for all the
walkers, Mon 22 Apr (visit www.200for200.org for more
information).
LAMDA presents a pair of shows featuring their students
both on and off the stage. She Stoops to Conquer is a
delightful flurry of trifling confusions, misunderstandings
and eavesdroppings, Tue 23 & Wed 24 Apr; and The
Cherry Orchard is a poignant recreation of Anton
Chekov’s last and greatest play about shifting social
orders, Thu 25 & Fri 26 Apr.
