First Drop of Monsoon
It was summer in the land all over
The land cracked with pain
For mother earth grieves over the wounds
That the sun’s whip Lashes have caused
Life begs for relief, a sign of hope
That a hero may rise to rid them of this tyrant
Far above a small cloud hears the pleas,
He thinks what can I do being a small cloud

A lightening thought flashed across his mind
“I Know” he said, as he quickly raced towards his kind
All the clouds then stood united, for
“STRENGTH LIES IN UNITY”
They all together stretched across the sky
A grey garment the sky now wore
Quicker than the eye could see
A sacred sabre like thunderbolt
Flashed across the sky
Life’s prayers have been answered
The little cloud thus spoke
“Mighty sun your time of tyranny is now at it’s’ end”
Silvery as his voice was it echoed like a thousand drums
The cowering sun was thus warned
So he hid behind the clouds and ran
Like a little child, only to shine another day
and just then the cloud thundered
“Let the arrows of life be released”
A soothing balm filled the land
Healing mother earth’s painful wounds
The end of the summer’s torture was thus
in this way, came to an end.
