Welcome to
the May Issue
of Atlantic Ave
In May we celebrate Mom! With so many things to do in Delray, it
will be very easy to make Mom feel special on her day. We have
so many wonderful restaurants to choose from, satisfying any
food or craving she may have will be an easy task. There are also
amazing salons and spas to pamper her. Check out our Mother’s
Day page for some suggestions on spoiling Mom!
In this issue we dine at Il Contadino, sampling traditional Italian
recipes and enjoying every last bite! Chef Michel only uses the freshest
ingredients and will customize any entrée to your liking. Every dish is
a work of art and a feast for your eyes as well as your belly!
Our May City Person is Barbara Stark. Barbara is the President
and CEO of the Milagro Center, and like its name, there are miracles
happening there every day. Read about Barbara and the many children
she mentors, as well as the path that brought her to the non-profit
sector in this issue.
We end the month of May honoring our Veterans. Let’s take a
moment out of our celebrations, barbecues, and beach time to
remember the men and women that serve our country every day, and
those that made the ultimate sacrifice.
Enjoy the weather of May: stroll the Ave and Grove, play on the
beach - and call Mom!
May we
never
forget,
Freedom
isn’t free…
