Shooting stars!
The sun shone, hundreds of clays soared and cartridges flew at the
inaugural Holland & Holland School Notices Independent Schools
Clay Pigeon Championships on 21st March 2019
Parent and Alumni teams set forth
in the morning competitively
vying for the beautiful Holland
& Holland trophy. Then an
afternoon of school Junior and
Senior teams battled it out for
glory. The atmosphere was electric
with all eyes on the prize. This
was no walk in the park, with a
myriad of testing stands and a
hotly contested royal flush for the
Seniors. With Bloxham scoring 79
out of 80 (flush) and Eton a very
close second, the Alumni were
shamed into booking shooting
lessons in time for next year!
The Holland & Holland School
Notices Independent Schools
Clay Pigeon Championships is
now firmly part of the school
curriculum with 2020 places
already being rebooked and
new schools queueing to take
part. A March 2020 date will be
announced shortly. Book early
to avoid disappointment!
“We were
incredibly
impressed with
the level of the
schools that competed and
to see so many involved in
the rst championships is
greatly encouraging. Many
congratulations to all who
took part.”
