Welcome to the 2018
Woodstock Invitational Luthiers Showcase!
The Woodstock Invitational celebrates the art and craft of
lutherie, the community of makers and players and, especially,
the final product: the music inspired by and made on these
instruments by the finest musicians in the world. The best
acoustic guitars ever made are being made today by the
artisans gathered together here. Having grown from a small,
cooperative and private guitar party in 2008 into this Tenth
Annual international public event, there are 77 exhibitors this
year, from as far away as Japan, Switzerland, Italy and Spain.
We are especially happy to feature a significant number of
women luthiers and performing artists this year.
We are proud of our festival’s tradition of public service.
Thanks to donations of products by our Sponsors and others,
our annual Charity Raffles have benefited the John Herald
Fund and Family of Woodstock, Inc. since 2009. This year, WILS
Music Coordinator Sharon Klein has donated a handmade
guitar, autographed by dozens of notable artists over the past
ten years, that is also being raffled to benefit the John Herald
Fund for musicians and artists in need. Thanks to generous
grants from the Bluestein Family Foundation, we have been
able to give back to our community by presenting free public
events promoting music and international understanding
with documentary film screenings, concerts, and educational
programs for children and families.
Thanks to all of our exhibitors, musicians, our Sponsors and
the Town of Woodstock for their participation, cooperation
and support. Experience the generosity of spirit of this
marvelous musical community. Listen to masterful musicians,
then learn from them in an instructional clinic. Buy or order a

our luthiers or vendors. We’re proud to present an incredible
assemblage of talent, and a weekend of wonderful musical
and instrumental diversity that we hope will resonate and
