crystallized during his time<br />
teaching tropical forestry<br />
in Belize, Central America.<br />
Michael’s approach is<br />
holistic, merging his<br />
experience as a visual artist,<br />
musician and scientist to<br />
create contemporary steel<br />
string acoustic guitars that<br />
are played and collected<br />
worldwide.<br />
BassRock Guitars harvests the excellent source of woods<br />
we have right here in the Adirondack Mountains of NYS (no<br />
importing of “trophy woods” from the other side of the world).<br />
We do everything from “logs to lyrics,” including diving to<br />
salvage “sinker spruce” logs from the bottom of our lake,<br />
cutting up our own logs, making parts, and inlaying amazing<br />
bookmatched burl with pearl accents around the centerline. A<br />
rustic, yet fine guitar? Spruce tops that have been underwater<br />
for 150 years have an amazing sound. These aren’t like other<br />
guitars you’ve seen and played. You may be shocked....<br />
