After playing guitar most of his life, Phil melded his love
of music and woodworking and started making guitars,
initially for his own use. It soon became clear that if he
wanted to keep building them, he would have to let some
go and Bethany Guitars was born. “Although some of
the guitars I build display many fine cosmetic details, my
primary concerns with the construction of the instruments
are their tone, playability and long term stability. To
achieve these goals, great attention is given to the
guitar design, the wood selection and a no-compromise
approach to their construction.”

Laurent Brondel
Mirko Borghino has been building guitars full time since
his graduation with honors from the Lutherie School
of Milan in 2000. His focus is one of a kind, custom
instruments to meet the needs and desires of musicians
and collectors. His creations include many types of guitars
including, archtop, flat top, bass, classical, and electric.
Mirko splits his time between teaching lutherie in two
different schools and hand-crafting custom instruments.
“I wish that the instruments I make were not only a means
to turn ideas into music, I want them to be a source of
inspiration for music itself.”
For over 40 years, Dana Bourgeois
has been known throughout the
world for his superb craftsmanship
and as one of the foremost
authorities on the voicing, selection
and utilization of fine tonewoods.
Bourgeois guitars have played a
prominent role in the American
steel-string guitar renaissance for
more than two decades, helping
shape acoustic music’s most
recent rise in popularity. Looking
to the future, Dana is committed
to shepherding and training a
new generation of luthiers who
understand his unique vision of
what an acoustic guitar should be.
Laurent Brondel
aims to build a
tasteful instrument of
outstanding tone and
classic appearance, with
maximum playability and
perfect tonal balance.
His design and tonal
signature are vintage
in spirit and modern in
execution, the guitars
are ergonomic and very
light in weight, with
increased projection and
volume and the widest
possible dynamic range.
