Adverbs
These adverbs that seem to be
back in vogue, & I genuinely believe
this to be the case, they literally
don’t even have to be
even remotely accurate
which is ironically annoying
and annoyingly ironic. But,
that said, an adverb-less world
is depressingly sparse, despite
those we now have back in the fold,
like the proverbial prodigal child,
being so maddeningly unreliable
and pissed up most of the time
still we love you & we’ve missed
you & welcome home!
