At a briefing in Abuja, Senator Ibrahim who noted that Oshiomhole had done well for the party and had the qualification and experience to lead the party, said as a human being, he was liable to make mistake. Senator Ibrahim said, “The APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole has done well, he must allow democracy to take place, he had the qualification to lead the party and if there are issues like not calling for meetings, the party can sit down with him, talk, know what is wrong and as well solve the problems.” Also ahead of the implementation of the signed 2019 budget, Senator Ibrahim urged President Muhammadu Buhari, to put in place a budget implementation committee, saying such committee when constituted, would help monitor execution of projects under the 2019 fiscal year. According to him, the committee at the end of the day, would ensure that ministers and heads of Departments and Agencies, implement fully or to a very reasonable percentage, the approved budget. Senator Ibrahim explained that regular monitoring of project execution by ministers had become very imperative as it would help check lapses that might occur after the release of funds as witnessed during past governments. A statement by her husband, Bello, said “With deep pains yet thanksgiving to God, this is to formally announce the eternal transition of my friend, companion, critic, lover and wife of 23 years, Mrs Helen Olufunke Eniola-Olaitan (nee Alemeru), who died late morning of June 4, 2019 at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton, United titanic battle with breast cancer. ''A devoted mother, loving wife, committed friend, generous giver, passionate mobiliser and humble soul, the deceased who graduated in Business Administration at Kwara State Polytechnic and Management at Lagos State University was a banker, businesswoman, and distance-learning tutor with The Skills Network, UK. ''Born August 04 1969, Mrs Eniola-Olaitan is survived by her husband, four children, an aged mother as well as brothers and sisters.'' He urged family and loved ones to find solace in God and the seeds of goodness and charity sown in many lives by Bello’s wife, believing she lived and stood for virtues that will continue to resonate. President Buhari prayed that the Almighty God will grant Helen’s soul eternal rest, and comfort her family. Ihedioha has no programme, only wants to squander N42.5bn I left behind—Okorocha FORMER governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, yesterday, took a swipe at his successor, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, saying the governor has no programme for Imo people, but preparing the grounds towards squandering the N42.5 billion he, Okorocha, left in the state government’s coffers. Addressing reporters in Awka, Anambra State chairman of NIA, Mr. Osita Okafor, argued that what the state government needed to do was to implement the white paper on the report of an earlier panel that investigated similar collapse of buildings in various parts of the state in 2014.
