<strong>Journey</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Red</strong> <strong>Phoenix</strong> was jointly commissioned by <strong>the</strong> Hong Kong<br />
Chinese Orchestra and <strong>the</strong> National Chinese Orchestra Taiwan, with<br />
generous assistance <strong>of</strong> The Manitoba Arts Council and The Canada Council<br />
for <strong>the</strong> Arts. The premiere performance by <strong>the</strong> Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra<br />
was conducted by Maestro Yan Huichang at <strong>the</strong> Hong Kong Cultural Centre<br />
Concert Hall, Hong Kong on 12 November 2016.<br />
This edition is a facsimile <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> original score provided by <strong>the</strong> composer.<br />
