locally sourced, low embodied energy, long life expectancy
and recyclable
*Still requires the use of artificial cooling for comfort due to
the climate of Dubai and the many visitors expected to be in
the pavilion

thatched roof and walls are naturally given back.

sources which means we weren’t able to achieve net zero
unless we have a much greater surface area for solar panels

*A glimpse of Australia and our native plants in the heart of the
Dubai desert. A way to educate sustainability through out the
pavilion.
*A place of gathering and social interaction, dedicated cafe,
auditorium, exhibition spaces and the experience of the
natural wetlands throughout the pavilion, able to see the
progression of the system from the ground and into the lower
ground.

programs given.
