Defianz Racing Rahul (7876227489) Team Defianz Racing is the 15-year old Formula Student Team of DTU. They conceptualise and develop a race-ready formula car for Formula Student competitions. According to the official worldwide rankings, the team is currently number 1 in India. DelTech Baja Harshit Tanwar (9650599306) The mission of the team is to design and build an ATV to race in the student Baja style events organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). The team participated in the 12 th <strong>Edition</strong> of BAJA SAE India. DelTech BAJA’s buggy ‘DB XIX’ cleared various tests and survived the endurance event for 4 hours. They landed a Top 20 finish in the business plan event. DTU ALTAIR Aman Dadheech (9891407553) DTU ALTAIR (Advance Leap in Technology and Intelligent Robotics) is a team of robotics enthusiasts aiming at developing autonomous robotic solutions. The team secured the 41 st position in CANSAT, a NASAorganized competition that requires students to design nano-satellites. DTU AUV Vipul Garg (8377022174) Team DTU AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) aims to innovate and develop a fully-autonomous underwater vehicle. Their model ARYA is one of the 7 robots chosen from all over India to be kept for display as ‘Advances in Robotics’ at the Robotics Gallery in Science City, Ahmedabad. DTU Supermileage Akshansh Aggarwal (9999604400) DTU Supermileage aims to develop super mileage vehicles that provide maximum mileage, be it with a litre of gasoline or a kWH of electric charge. Their ultimate goal is the protection of the environment from vehicular pollution. DTU Supermileage participated in the Shell Eco-Marathon India at Madras Motor Racing Track, Chennai in December 2018, and clinched the 1 st position in Urban Concept Gasoline category by achieving a mileage of 154km/l. The team won the 2 nd position in Prototype Battery Electric category, achieving a mileage of 171.9km/kWh. Hertz Electric Rishik Rana (99111649<strong>47</strong>) Hertz Electric aims to manufacture a formula student electric vehicle. A sub team of Hertz Electric was invited to Thundersky Winston in Xiamen, China, to discuss and educate the team about new lithium ion battery developments and recent trends in electric vehicles and charging stations. Zephyr Divye Bhutani (9818553438) Team Zephyr designs an intelligent ground vehicle with autonomous driving capabilities. Team Zephyr participated in the Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition held at Oakland University, Michigan and secured the 3 rd position in the cyber-security challenge. Inferno DTU Vishal Sharma (9999898653) Team Inferno DTU strives to manufacture a Mars Rover Prototype. Team Inferno DTU completed the university’s first Martian Rover prototype, A.R.G.U.S, in December 2018. They competed through various rounds and secured the 7 th rank at the Indian Rover Challenge at Manipal Institute of Technology. Okami Racing Manish Kumar (9911987956) Team Okami Racing, the Electric Motorcycle Team of DTU, aims to design and manufacture high performance electric motorcycles. Okami Racing participated in Motostudent 2018 edition held in Spain. Raftaar Tanishq Arora (9899696092) Team Raftaar designs innovative human powered vehicles. The team aims to demonstrate the application of engineering design principles in the development of sustainable and practical transportation alternatives. Team Raftaar, DTU secured 1 st position in Analysis and bagged the 5 th position in Design at ASME E-Fest, Asia Pacific 2019 held at VIT, Vellore. UAS-DTU Joyraj (9654271757) The DTU-Unmanned Aerial Systems project was initiated with the primary purpose of developing technologies to reduce India’s dependence on foreign intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance products. Team UAS-DTU was awarded the Gold Medal in the Formation Flying category at Drone Olympics, Aero India 2019, Bangalore. They received prize money of Rs. 5 lakh, including a developmental kit from Lockheed Martin. They would further be trained for the AlphaPilot, an open innovation challenge in the US. Team UAS-DTU cleared Phase 2 of the IAF Mehar Baba Prize and were given a cash prize of Rs. 25 lakhs. They are currently competing in Phase 3 of the same. UGV-DTU (Unmanned Ground Vehicle) Khwaish Kr. Anjum (9773518599) The Unmanned Ground Vehicle team designs autonomous vehicles through calibrating and using various sensors and implementing real time image processing. Team UGV-DTU secured the 5 th position in the cyber-security challenge of the Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition held at Oakland University, Michigan.
